CENOTES

Yesterday I decided to move on a little bit and see something more than just Cancun. I went with my friend from a hostel to conotes, these are some kind of caves under the water. I add some pictures as you  can see how does it look. It’s really easy to get there. Me and Melanie thought that we will get lost on our way but it was actually really difficult to get lost.  We took a bus to Playa del Carmen and then we have asked a bus driver how to get to the closest cenotes. He told us what bus do we have to take and we just asked the other bus driver to live us close to cenotes in the middle of the motorway-no problem, how to catch the bus on our way back? Hitchhike it!! It will stop… no problemJJ 5 more people in a bus?? Who cares!! Anyway no one will check it.
We walked about 10 minutes and we were there. It’s beautifull!! Especially when you can scuba dive and go under the clear water and see all the caves and fishes. I didn’t do it because I don’t have a scuba diving course done but it made me to think to do one.  Iwas jumping from the rocks, swimming in a clear water enjoying the green landscapes and of course watching animals that for me are uncommon. I really recommend to see it even when you need to pay for it (entrance about 60 pesos it’s about 15 zl, 3,75 euro).
Later we went to see playa del Carmen that is some kind of resort for Europeans. I would say it’s something like Sopot in Poland. You need to know, Cancun is a mecca for Americans, Playa del Carmen, for Europeans. But both places are really nice especially because of the weather  .

The emigrant life...

It wassupposed to be so easy to get a job and a working visa (FM3) but on November thelaw has changed and it’s sooo difficult. Before, the only thing that you had todo is to pay and that’s it! Now…. I need to find a company that will contractme, then they need to give me like a paper with all the details about the job,the salary, for how long I will workthere and a lot more. Then with thispaper I need to go outside of Mexico to apply for a working visa in an embassy of Mexico. Come on!! I’m alreadyin here why the hell I need to leave to get it??!! So it means that I need togo to Belize or Guatemala ( small trip??) and apply for it there. What is theworst thing is that a law has changed on November so no one actually can giveme a specific information because they do not know it very well. So basically Idon’t know what I’m doing and anyone knows. I keep trying because I’m reallystubborn but I’m just really mad because everyone gives me a different information. Probably soon the people in emigration office will recognize me becauseI’m gonna be there every day! Today I was standing there in a pouring rain, waiting for my turn and the information I got was: NO VISA FOR YOU BLONDI!! Actuallythey didn’t tell me this but they thought so. They even asked me if I’m marriedto Mexican guy. Come on!! I’m too young to get married with a Mexican guy!! I’mtoo young to get married to anyone. Will keep you informed! Wish me luck! If Iwill get it somehow, I will open the company that helps a people to get it. Itwouldn’t be a bad idea J

CABALLEROS

I’m still not a lot of time in Mexico but I need to tell you that their culture suprises me, of course it’s a little bit annoying  that every man in the city looks at me like they just want to eat me just because I’m blond and I have a blue eyes but also they are caballeros, gentelmens, Sometimes I feel like  im a  queen. They always open the door for a women and let her go first, when you want to get out of a car you need to wait as they open a door for you. And also, what suprises me the most, every time, when they are walking with a girl on the street, they walk on a site that is closer to the street and a cars. European guys!!  Start to learn…. If not I will stay here:P:P because not every day you can feel like a queenJ

Mexico, here I am!

Finally, I'm here, in a country of contrast, great weather and the best beaches ever!!
After more than 24 hours ofa trip... sleeping the whole night on the airport in London and 10 hours in a plane I have finally arived. I'm staying in a hostel, doing the "stay for free" program. It means that I'm working in a hostel 4 hours per day and I don't have to pay for the accomodation. It's a great solution if you don't have a lot of money to travel, like me:) I'm going to stay one month in here, in Cancun and later I will look for a better place, more mexican, less turistic. But the hostel in really nice and the people also. Nice and helpfull!
I went to the beach today.... but I had to leave after 3 hours. I don't want to be red. Tomorrow more.
I'm leaving you two pictures of a rooftop in a hostel. Still didn't have a time to see lots of places so more pictures later!!

Hi!
you are probably thinking why I have chosen Mexico! My answer is: I HAVE NO IDEA! I just did it. I've really liked living in Seville (Spain) but there came a time when I had to decide to move on. I have lost my job, there were no new job offers so one day I just woke up and decided to buy a ticket back home, to Poland. I have just opened my laptop and after half an hour I had a ticket to Cracov but then I have realized that that's not what I really want, so again, after half an hour I had a one way ticket to Cancun.
The people still keep asking me WHY and I keep answering I DONT KNOW WHY. Maybe it's because I have met so many nice people from there, I'm really curious about their culture, about differences between the Spanish language in Spain and the Spanish in Mexico.
Lots of people say that it's so dangerous in there but then my Mexican friends keep denying it so I just need to see it, live it and check it. If I won't check it I will never know and I will always think how is it like in there.
I'm still not in Mexico. I have 2 days left and I feel so crazy about it. It's a really strange feeling. I'm not worried what will happen there. I still miss Seville and I came back to Poland only for 3 weeks so It was a crazy time. Cracow, hometown, Szczecin, Berlin, hometown, Szczecin, Berlin and then Cancun. That's a route that I have planned for these 3 weeks. There is only one stop left. Cancun.
Right now I'm just dreaming about having my own bed (even if it's in 10 bed dorm in a hostel in a country that I don't know) and a place that I will accept as a home.
I still don't know If I will stay in Cancun or I will go to different place but I like to be spontaneous so probably we all (including me) will be surprised about my future decision.
Mexico!! get prepared!! I'm coming soon!!!
Wish me luck!
